IBA and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” concluded a memorandum for cooperation

On 9 June 2017 the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Assoc. Prof. Teodor Sedlarski and Stamen Yanev, Executive director of IBA concluded a memorandum for cooperation.

With this memorandum the parties declare their engagement to unite their actions for the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of economics and business management. The purpose of this agreement is to help the development of the Bulgarian higher education and the business, to stimulate the update of knowledge, skills and competencies of the students with the aim of achieving a positive effect on the competitiveness and growth of the economy.

The memorandum covers the bilateral cooperation in the following main categories:

  1. Exchange of information for activities and more important science, business and other events, held or promoted by IBA and Sofia University;
  2. Cooperation for participation of representatives of IBA in presentations in front of students, in lectures, seminars, conferences, meetings and other events organized by Sofia University;
  3. Cooperation for participation of lecturers and other representatives of Sofia University in meetings, lectures, consultations, statistical and other researches and events organized by IBA;
  4. Giving information to the students in Sofia University for student internship programs and job vacancies in IBA;
  5. Cooperation from Sofia University for the conduction of trainings in the University for specialists and employees from IBA;
  6. Realization of practical training in a real working environment, stimulation of the involvement of students in the research activity, the realization of projects, etc.
  7. Realization of direct connection via IBA between investors, who, in case of realization of their investment projects, look for young people with a certain qualification, and Sofia university;
  8. Joint cooperation when conducting other specific activities and events which are of a mutual interest, after a preliminary coordination.
