A GOVERNMENT DELEGATION FOR STRENGTHENING THE RELATIONS BETWEEN BULGARIA AND EGYPT WITH A FOCUS ON INVESTMENTS AND INNOVATIONS WAS LED BY MARIYA GABRIEL, DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

The government delegation, led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs – Ms. Mariya Gabriel, which also included Ms. Mila Nenova, Executive Director of the  InvestBulgarian Agency, successfully held the first meeting of the Public Commission for Cooperation between Bulgaria and the Arab Republic of Egypt to promote bilateral economic relations.

The government delegation was attended by Ms. Milena Stoycheva, Minister of Innovation and Growth, Mr. Bogdan Bogdanov, Minister of Economy and Industry, Mr. Todor Tagarev, Minister of Defense, Mr. Georgi Gvozdeykov, Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr. Rumen Radev – Minister of Energy and Mr. Boyko Takov, Executive Director of BSMEPA.

During its official visit, the delegation was able to strengthen the ties between the two countries by signing three key agreements for further development and consolidation of cooperation. During the visit, Minister Stoycheva and the Egyptian Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Dr. Amr Talaat, held talks on future partnerships in the field of innovation and technological development.

During the visit to Egypt, Ms. Nenova met with Mr. Hossam Heiba, the President of the Agency for Investment and Free Zones, to discuss investment opportunities in Bulgaria for the Egyptian entrepreneurial community and the implementation of innovative projects in both countries.
