Angel Ivanov has been appointed Acting Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA). Until now, he held the position of Deputy Executive Director.

Ivanov has many years of managerial experience in public administration, including in the fields of investments, digitalization, European integration, and as Head of the Trade and Economic Affairs Office (STIV) in Moscow. He has also served as an adviser on economic, social, and European affairs at the Council of Ministers. In the private sector, his professional experience includes foreign trade, the organization and management of business structures, as well as asset sales.

He holds a Master’s degree in International Economic Relations from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and is a graduate of the German Language High School in Lovech.

He speaks English, German, and Russian.

By order of the Minister of Innovation and Growth, the former Executive Director of IBA, Mila Nenova, has been released from the position.
