On 25.08.2023 in the office of Invest Bulgaria Agency (IBA) was held a working meeting between Hristo Etropolski – Acting Executive Director of IBA, Martin Gikov – Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth, Ivan Tserovski – Executive Director of the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB), Mihail Valchanov – Mihail Valchanov – Deputy Head of the International Financial Institutions and European Funds Department (BDB) and Lixin Guo – General Manager, Bank of China (CEE) and Li Zhang – Head of Corporate Banking Department, Kong Linyu – Economic Counsellor, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bulgaria.

At the meeting Mr. Hristo Etropolski presented the activities of the Agency, the incentives under the Investment Promotion Act (IPA) and how the Agency can assist in the implementation of investment projects. The various aspects of future cooperation were also discussed, as well as opportunities for joint work to promote bilateral economic relations and attract potential investors of common interest.

Representatives from the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) presented the financial instruments provided by the bank to support businesses and the opportunities for access to resources for companies with a higher risk profile. The valuable role of the state-owned bank, requiring less collateral and participation from its clients, was also highlighted, as well as the potential for future collaboration between the two organisations.
