BULGARIA PRESENTED ITS INVESTMENT POTENTIAL DURING THE 2ND REGIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM OF AMCHAMS

At the 2nd edition of the AmChams (American Chambers of Commerce) Regional Economic Forum held in Athens, the Executive Director of BAI, Ms. Mila Nenova, took part in a panel discussion dedicated to investment opportunities in EU countries — “Review of Regional Investment Opportunities — EU Countries.”

During the panel, Ms. Nenova presented Bulgaria as an industrial country with a rapidly developing digital economy, emphasizing:

  • the stable macroeconomic environment and strategic geographical location;
  • the qualified workforce and developed industrial base;
  • the dynamically developing digital ecosystem;
  • key projects supported by the Bulgarian Investment Agency;
  • leading research and innovation institutes, including INSAIT (Institute of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technologies), the supercomputer at Sofia Tech Park, and others.

The discussion was moderated by Elias Spirtonias, Executive Director of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, and participants included Marinus Janopoulos (Enterprise Greece) and Lia Riris (Invest Cyprus – CIPA). The panel was opened by Leonid Sidorenko, Director at the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB).

The event provided an opportunity to exchange best practices, promote regional cooperation, and attract new strategic investors to Southeast Europe.
