On 18 February 2026, the Acting Executive Director of Invest Bulgaria Agency (IBA), Mr. Angel Ivanov, together with Agency experts, participated in a working business breakfast with investors – members of the Bulgarian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event, held in Sofia at the initiative of the Chamber, brought together representatives of leading manufacturing and industrial companies operating in Bulgaria.
Invest Bulgaria Agency extends its gratitude to the Bulgarian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the excellent organization of the event and for providing the opportunity to engage in an open and constructive dialogue with investors. Such initiatives create a valuable platform for direct communication between the business community and institutions and contribute to improving the country’s investment climate.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Alcomet, Mikroak, Nobel Pharma, Smart Solar, Türkerler Holding, Nitex AD, Perfectup Ambalaj, Trakya Glass Bulgaria, KILCOOL LTD, Alcomet AD, Onur Group, Multivac, Kastamonu Bulgaria, CTP and Mobiliz GPS Bulgaria, as well as a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Bulgaria.
During the discussion, the investment promotion measures available in Bulgaria were presented, including the opportunities for certification of investment projects under the Investment Promotion Act. Business representatives raised important issues related to access to qualified labor, administrative procedures, and infrastructure. Particular emphasis was placed on the lengthy and complex procedures for issuing visas and work permits for foreign specialists, which in some cases create challenges for the implementation and expansion of investment projects. Several broader issues affecting industrial investors were also outlined, with a shared understanding of the importance of active dialogue and coordination between institutions and businesses for their sustainable resolution.
On behalf of Invest Bulgaria Agency, a firm commitment was reaffirmed to continue providing full support to investors and to act as a liaison between businesses and the competent state authorities. IBA will continue to work actively, in partnership with the Ministry of Innovation and Growth and other institutions, to improve investment conditions and support companies that have chosen Bulgaria as their investment destination.
