Mr. Angel Ivanov, Acting Executive Director of the Invest Bulgaria Agency (IBA), awarded a Class A Investment Certificate to Aero Technik BG Ltd. for the investment project “Aircraft Maintenance Hangar – AERO TECHNIK BG,” to be implemented in Sofia, Capital Municipality.

The certificate was presented to Mr. Sergey Kumanov, Head of Maintenance, in the presence of Mr. Georgi Kanchev, Chief Executive Officer and Accountable Manager of the company, as well as representatives of the Invest Bulgaria Agency team involved in the certification process, including Mr. Julian Balchev, Secretary General of the Agency.

The investment project foresees the construction of a new, larger, and high-tech aircraft maintenance and repair hangar, which will significantly increase the company’s capacity by adding 5 to 8 new aircraft maintenance lines (depending on aircraft type). This expansion represents both a major achievement and a significant technological and organizational challenge, positioning Aero Technik BG as a leading provider of aircraft maintenance and repair services in the region.

The project has been certified with an investment amount of BGN 31,000,000 (€15,850,048), while the total actual investment-including construction, equipment, and land acquisition- exceeds €50 million. The new facilities are expected to become operational in May this year, and the project will create 125 new jobs for highly qualified specialists.
