Conferences and Roundtables in Europe, USA and Asia Attract Foreign Investors to Bulgaria

November 22, 2012

On November 29th, 2012 in Paris will be held the first of a series of business events, organized within the “Promotion of the advantages of investing in Bulgaria” project with the financial support of  the “Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy” 2007 – 2013 Operational Programme. The InvestBulgaria Agency is the beneficiary of the project and will organize twelve events with the support of the global business media “Financial Times”.

Bulgaria has many advantages as an investment destination, but the popularity of the country’s assets is relatively low among the foreign investors. With the aim of increasing the growth of direct foreign investments in the country, Bulgaria’s advantages should be promoted and popularized among target audiences – business representatives of three key markets – Europe, USA and Asia. The series of events, jointly organized by BAI and “Financial Times” will be focused on the attractive investment options of Bulgaria and facilitate contacts between the representatives of the Bulgarian institutions, the private sector and the potential investors from all around the world.

The first stage of the series covers the market of Europe and includes three roundtables – in Paris (November, 29th), in Munich (December, 4th) and in London (December, 5th), and one conference in London (December, 6th). The business forums will continue in 2013 with another six roundtables and two conferences in Northern America (New York, Chicago and San Jose) and Asia (Tokyo, Seul and Hong Kong).

The representatives of Bulgarian and international companies, successfully doing business in Bulgaria will take part in the events. In that way, the events will demonstrate not only the state policy for support and stimulation of foreign investors in the country, but also successful examples and good practices of already implemented projects. The forums will bring together politicians, experts and top business leaders from Bulgaria and abroad, so that they could exchange experience and contacts, and deliver helpful discussions on the positioning of the country as an investment destination.
