“Biofresh” will invest BGN 8.5 million

Bulgarian cosmetics producer Biofresh will open in October a BGN 8.5 million plant in the Plovdiv area, in the country's south. The plant is expected to double Biofresh’s output capacity, according to Biofresh's co-owner Spas Georgiev. 

Biofresh financed the project with 4.25 million levs in own funds and financing obtained under the Joint European Resources for Micro to Medium Enterprises (JEREMIE) initiative. The company intends to move production operations currently based at a plant in Pazardzhik, also in southern Bulgaria, to the new plant near Plovdiv, Georgiev said. Biofresh operates a third plant in Malo Karnare, near Pazardzhik, which will continue its operations. Plovdiv-based Biofresh, set up in 2000, markets its output on the local market and also exports to over 50 countries worldwide.
