InvestBulgaria Agency (BIA) participated in the “Industrial Development Forum – Kostinbrod 2025”, which brought together representatives of state institutions, local authorities, business organizations, and investors to discuss prospects for regional economic development and the promotion of an attractive investment environment. The event was organized by the Municipality of Kostinbrod and Lider.bg.

 

Mrs. Mila Nenova, Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency, delivered a special presentation highlighting Bulgaria’s competitive advantages and investment opportunities. She emphasized the country’s stable macroeconomic environment, strategic geographic location, and the investment promotion measures provided by the Agency. Mrs. Nenova also noted that six IBA-certified companies are already operating in Kostinbrod Municipality, with a total investment value exceeding BGN 235.28 million and 344 new jobs created—a clear example of successful cooperation between business, government, and local authorities.

 

In his welcoming address, Mr. Trayko Mladenov, Mayor of Kostinbrod Municipality, thanked Rollplast for hosting the event and stated that the forum is “the first, but not the last,” expressing his vision for it to become a tradition.

“This event is an example of the energy and synergy between local government and business. Through the joint efforts of all parties and the strong support of the Bulgarian administration, represented by IBA, new enterprises are being developed and sustainable investments realized in our municipality. IBA has always been a reliable partner, with its experts consistently supporting and guiding investors to ensure the successful implementation of their projects,” said Mayor Mladenov.

 

Official greetings were also delivered by Mr. Ergin Emin, Chairman of the Association of Bulgarian Cities and Regions, and Mrs. Anelia Veleva, Municipal Councilor.

 

During the panel discussions, presentations and speeches were given by Eng. Plamen Panchev – founder of the Trakia Economic Zone; Vasil Todorov – Deputy Chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Smilen Valov – Executive Director of the Employment Agency; Dr. Ali Ihsan Ozeroglu – representative of the Çerkezköy Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Krasimir Stoyanov – Energy Expert at ABGR.

 

InvestBulgaria Agency continues to play a key role in attracting strategic investments, supporting project implementation, and fostering a favorable business environment in Bulgaria. The Kostinbrod Forum once again demonstrated that the successful development of regions is possible through targeted cooperation between the state, local authorities, business, and academia.
