The Secretary General of the InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA) – Yulian Balchev – presented Bulgaria’s investment potential during the Bulgarian-Hungarian Business Forum, which took place in Sofia with the participation of the Minister of Economy and Industry of Bulgaria, Petar Dilov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto.
In his speech, Mr. Balchev emphasized that the Agency is fully committed to attracting long-term strategic investors and building stable economic ties between Bulgaria and Hungary. He presented to Hungarian companies the specific advantages of our country, such as:
– Strategic geographical location – with direct access to markets of over 500 million consumers in the EU;
– Competitive tax and regulatory environment – flat corporate tax of 10%, 5% tax on dividends;
– Developed industrial infrastructure – industrial zones and simplified administrative procedures for certified investment projects;
– Digitalization and one-stop-shop services – support from the Bulgarian Investment Agency throughout the entire investment process.
The Bulgarian-Hungarian Business Forum is organized by the Ministry of Economy and Industry in cooperation with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is part of the active policy to expand economic cooperation between the two countries.
