INVEST BULGARIA AGENCY PARTICIPATES IN THE 4TH REGIONAL FORUM “CONNECTING 4 GROWTH” IN BURGAS

Invest Bulgaria Agency (IBA) took part in the 4th Regional Forum “Connecting 4 Growth: Bulgaria–Turkey–Romania,” held at the Congress Center in Burgas, bringing together over 300 representatives from businesses, institutions, and industry organizations.

The event was organized by the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (EASME), in cooperation with the Bulgarian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BULTISAD) and the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce (BRCC). It has established itself as a key platform for fostering economic cooperation and creating new partnerships in the region.

During the forum, Acting Executive Director of the IBA, Angel Ivanov, participated in the panel “Instruments for Growth,” where he emphasized the role of institutional support for investors, the development of industrial zones, and Bulgaria’s competitive advantages as an investment destination.

The discussion covered key topics such as the support mechanisms provided by Invest Bulgaria Agency to companies planning investments or expanding their operations in the country, the importance of industrial infrastructure and logistics connectivity in investment decision-making, and the factors positioning Bulgaria as a competitive destination in the region. These include the availability of a skilled workforce, a strategic geographic location, and access to markets.

Special attention was also given to the challenges facing the investment environment, as well as the need for sustainable infrastructure development and improvements in administrative processes to further enhance the country’s investment attractiveness.

The forum provided an opportunity for active dialogue between businesses and institutions, as well as for holding bilateral meetings aimed at building strategic partnerships.

As part of the visit to Burgas, the team of Invest Bulgaria Agency also visited the city’s Industrial Zone, where they gained firsthand with its development progress and the opportunities it offers to investors. Support for the development of industrial parks and zones remains a priority for both the Ministry of Innovation and Growth and the IBA, as part of broader efforts to attract investments to the regions.

In this context, the Agency is also developing the Interactive Investment Map of Bulgaria—a digital platform providing up-to-date information on available sites and industrial locations, helping investors choose suitable locations for the implementation of their projects.
