A webinar entitled “The Chemical Industry in Bulgaria – Investment Opportunities” was held by the InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA) on 28 October 2021 at 11:00 am through the platform developed by Ciela Norma in connection with the implementation of Project No BG16RFOP002-2.006-0001-C04 “Increasing service quality and quantity for potential investors in Bulgaria”, Procedure No BG16RFOP002-2.006, “Positioning Bulgaria as known and preferred investment destination by supporting the activities of InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA)” with the financial support of Operational Programme “Innovations and Competitiveness”, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund .
The following topics were presented during the webinar:
- Sustainable investment, Class A;
- Investment climate in Bulgaria.Advantages offered by the investment promotion incentives and the state mechanisms for their implementation;
- Dual education and technical science programs;
- Why are we in Bulgaria? Skilled labour, available engineering know-how;
- Existing traditions in this sector.
The moderator of the event was: Assoc. Professor Savina Mihaylova-Goleminova, PhD, lecturer in Financial and Tax Law at the Faculty of Economics, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski ”.
Investment climate in Bulgaria. The advantages offered by the investment promotion incentives and the state mechanisms for their implementation, were presented by Mr. Stamen Yanev, Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency.
Prof. Yoncho Pelovski, Vice President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Chemical Industry, spoke about the traditions established in the sector.
Prof. Toni Spasov, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Sofia University “ Kliment Ohridski” presented the topic “Dual education and technical science programs”.
Sören Günther, Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer, TUBIS Group acquainted us with the story of a sustainable investment and how TUBIS Group operates on the international market and in Bulgaria;
Spiros Nomikos, Executive Director of Solvay Sodi AD, told us about the advantages of Solvay Sodi AD and why they are we in Bulgaria.
Over 50 representatives of Bulgarian and foreign investors, local and regional authorities, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) took part in the webinar.
