The leadership of Invest Bulgaria Agency held a working meeting with representatives of Confindustria Bulgaria, headed by its President, Nunziante Coraggio.

Also attending the meeting were Nevena Sendreva, Vice President responsible for industry and the development of the association; Roberto Santorelli, former President and responsible for relations with Bulgarian institutions; Maria Luisa Meroni, former President of Confindustria Bulgaria and former President of Confindustria Eastern Europe, responsible for relations with Italian institutions; as well as members of the organization’s team.

On behalf of Invest Bulgaria Agency, participants included Acting Executive Director Mr. Angel Ivanov, Chief Secretary Mr. Julian Balchev, and experts from the agency.

During the meeting, opportunities for deepening cooperation between the Invest Bulgaria Agency and the Italian business community in Bulgaria were discussed. Measures to promote investments and the advantages of Bulgaria as an investment destination were presented, including the country’s competitive tax environment and favorable business conditions.

Representatives of Confindustria Bulgaria noted that Italy is Bulgaria’s fourth-largest trading partner, with Italian companies having a significant presence and investments in several Bulgarian cities, including Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, and Ruse.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of active dialogue between institutions and businesses in encouraging new investment projects and fostering long-term economic partnerships between Bulgaria and Italy.
