The Minister of Economy Daniela Vezieva took part in the ceremony, which started the expansion of the production of a Swiss company producing chocolate and sugar products in its factory in Sofia. The new investment of the company in Bulgaria amounts to about BGN 19 million and will create 70 new jobs.

“It is a pleasure for me to find today another expansion of the company’s production in Bulgaria. This is another proof that the work of the caretaker government in the direction of improving the country’s image to foreign investors and the clarification of the business environment is assessed positively, “said Minister Vezieva.

She congratulated the company’s management that in times of pandemic and insecurity they continue to invest in Bulgaria and provide employment to more and more people.

According to her, the Ministry of Economy will support the company’s project with an investment certificate. “We encourage just such investors in industries with high added value and export orientation,” said the caretaker Minister of Economy.

The ceremony was also attended by the Ambassador of Switzerland to Bulgaria Raymond Furrer, Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Pekanov, Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Violeta Komitova, Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency Stamen Yanev and others.
