Mrs. Mila Nenova participated in the ceremony for the launch of a new factory of Schneider Electric Bulgaria. We remind you that it was they who took the “Investor of the Year 2023” award, and at the end of February they also received a certificate for a priority investment project “Factory for Electrical Assembly. low voltage products”.

Mrs. Mila Nenova congratulated all those involved in the creation of this project and bringing it to its final stage. She wished the investors from Schneider Electric Bulgaria to soon invite the agency’s team to cut the ribbon of the new plant.

“Today, the geopolitical strategic position of Bulgaria provides new opportunities for the promotion of our country as an attractive investment destination. Its macroeconomic stability, active innovation ecosystem, the talents we create, the quality of life in Bulgaria and, of course, the incentive measures it provides and access to finance are the factors that successfully attract new investors.

At IBA, we are always looking for a pragmatic approach to problems and this led us to our new initiative “Enterprise Day”. That is why the Bulgarian Investment Agency, with the support of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, is planning a national campaign “Open Doors Day in Enterprises”, which covers all regions of the country and students in grades 8-12. The initiative is exactly new, which says – young people to enter enterprises, offices or offices and see what real business is.

Often young people do not know the enterprises in their hometown and do not know the opportunities that are provided to them,” she added.

At the end of February, the electrical components company received a certificate from the Minister of Innovation and Growth Milena Stoycheva for a priority investment project for the construction of the factory. The amount of the investment is 107 million BGN and it is planned to create 110 new jobs. The investment project is related to a new production base, in which the latest class of technologies and new equipment, carbon-neutral building materials and the use of renewable sources will be introduced.

The factory in Plovdiv will assemble, test and package circuit breakers and other low-voltage electrical products. It is planned to introduce the latest class of software technologies, industrial automation, renewable energy sources, etc. The ultimate goal is the implementation of a “smart manufacturing building” – with a Smart factory certificate, according to the global internal standards of Schneider Electric to meet the criteria for a minimum gold LEED certificate, which will become the first of its kind production building of the company in Central and Southeastern Europe.

The company said that it will continue to develop its business in Bulgaria, increase its final products and look for new markets.

The ceremony was attended by H. E. Joël Meyer, Ambassador of France to Bulgaria, Bogdan Bogdanov, Minister of Economy and Industry, Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth Martin Gikov, representatives of the Municipalities of Plovdiv and Radinovo and the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
