The National Forum “The Demographic Future of Bulgaria – Investments in Technology, Infrastructure and Human Capital” was held at the Marinela Hotel, and the forum was organized by the Standard Media Group.
The caretaker Ministers of Labor and Social Policy Ivaylo Ivanov, the Minister of Economy Dr. Petko Nikolov, the Minister of Health Dr. Galya Kondeva, the Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth Prof. Dr. Georgi Angelov, Deputy Minister of Education Natalia Miteva, the Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency Mrs. Mila Nenova, as well as mayors, representatives of business, trade unions, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, universities, non-governmental organizations, who made their proposals for measures to put an end to the negative demographic trends in our country.

Statistics show that the trend has recently reversed – young people are not only leaving the country, but are already returning. This is extremely good news and it shows that they see their future and their growth in our country. This was stated by the Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency.
Mrs. Nenova shared IBA’s experience in attracting future specialists to the business in the country. With the initiative for “Open Doors Day in Enterprises”, the agency aims to expand students’ practical and theoretical knowledge of the industrial sector and business in Bulgaria.
Dual and vocational training are for people who have already decided what they will do. Young people do not know which are the enterprises in their city or region, which is why IBA focuses on informing future employed Bulgarians.
The purpose of the national forum was to unite the energy of all those who work for the demographic future of our country.
The participants united around a Memorandum in support of creating a strategy for the demographic future of Bulgarians, initiated by Slavka Bozukova.
