On 18 September, the Regional Business Conference Burgas 2025 took place in Burgas, bringing together representatives of state institutions, business organizations, and regional companies. The event became an important platform for discussing prospects for regional economic development, cross-border partnerships, and investment promotion.
Among the official guests who addressed the participants were Mr. Dimitar Nikolov, Mayor of Burgas Municipality; Mr. Krasimir Yakimov, Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth; H.E. Tolga Orkun, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Bulgaria; Mrs. Iliana Ilieva, Executive Director of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce; and Mrs. Bilyana Georgieva, founder of Lider.bg and organizer of the conference.
During the forum, Mrs. Mila Nenova, Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA), delivered a presentation on Bulgaria’s investment potential, emphasizing the key role of the regions in attracting strategic partnerships and fostering sustainable economic growth. She highlighted the importance of modernized infrastructure and a skilled workforce as factors that make Bulgaria increasingly attractive to investors.
The conference spotlighted Burgas and its region as a dynamic area with significant development potential. The discussions outlined opportunities for closer cooperation between government institutions, the business sector, and international partners, aiming to attract new investments and enhance competitiveness at both regional and national levels.
