Invest Bulgaria Agency is part of the national pavilion at the 87th Thessaloniki International Fair. The exhibition started on 9 September and will last until 17 September. Minister of Economy and Industry – Bogdan Bogdanov opened the Bulgarian Pavilion together with his Greek counterpart Minister of National Economy and Finance – Kostis Hadzidakis. On the Bulgarian side, the event was also attended by the Ministers of Finance and Tourism – Assen Vassilev and Zaritza Dinkova, Acting Executive Director of Invest Bulgaria Agency (IBA) – Hristo Etropolski, as well as representatives of enterprises, organizations and institutions.
The two ministers toured the Bulgarian stands with representatives from 60 Bulgarian companies and organizations from different sectors. Minister Bogdanov also announced the launch of two new projects – the first cargo flights by the Bulgarian company Dronamics on the Greek market and Endurosat’s new programme for the launch into low orbit of a satellite constellation.
The Greek Minister Hadzidakis visited the stand of IBA and congratulated the Executive Director Hristo Etropolski and they wished each other successful future cooperation.
The President of Bulgaria – Rumen Radev visited the national pavilion on 11.09 (Monday), where the opportunities of our economy were presented with a focus on high technologies and innovations.
During the forum, the IBAI team held B2B meetings with Greek companies, presenting the opportunities for investment in Bulgaria. The companies showed interest in the activities of the Agency and the incentives provided by the State. Some of them are engaged in the production of dairy products and the production of bio fertilizers.
Visitors to the National Pavilion have the opportunity to enjoy a rich cultural and entertainment program, which includes performances by the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”, live crafts by the Applied Arts School in Sofia, puppet performance by the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts, participation of the CSKA Acrobatics Sports Club, etc.
