On June 21, the 23rd traditional summer event of the Vienna Economic Forum (WEF) was held. This year it was in cooperation with the European Forum – Wachau (20.06 – 22.06), and on the second day of the forum was held the “Danube Salon Europe-Wachau Forum”, in which Mrs. Mila Nenova, Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency and member of the Management Board, participated in bilateral discussions with representatives of various companies from Europe.
Ambassador Dr. Elena Kircheva, Secretary General of the Vienna Economic Forum, and Ambassador Dr. Martin Eichtinger, Special Representative and Coordinator for Neighbourhood Policy and the External Dimension of the Danube Region at the Austrian Ministry for Europe, together with Ms. Therese Edtstadler-Kuhlhanek, Managing Director of the European Forum – Wachau, signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the Holding of Major Events, organized by the WEF and the EFV.
Among the participants were representatives of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Moldova, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Croatia and Montenegro. The purpose of the event was to create contacts, share experience, identify areas and raise issues of mutual interest to achieve understanding and rapprochement of the countries in the region. Special thanks were expressed to Ambassador Dr. Martin Eichtinger, Ms. Johanna Mikl-Leitner and Minister Caroline Edtstadler for their support and participation.
