The Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) announced that it has supported over 27,000 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises through its programs aimed at supporting economic growth and sustainability. The conference “Development Banks – a tool for better use of public funds” was opened by the Minister of Innovation and Growth Rosen Karadimov, where he emphasized the importance of BDB for the Bulgarian economy and noted that support for small and medium-sized businesses is crucial for the development of the country.

The event was attended by representatives of leading business organizations and state institutions, including the Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency, Mila Nenova, who was among the guests of the event. Addresses to the participants in the forum were made by the caretaker Deputy Minister of Finance Martin Danovski on behalf of the caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Lyudmila Petkova, the Deputy Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank Petar Chobanov and the Vice President of the European Investment Bank Kyriakos Kakouris. All of them congratulated the Bulgarian Development Bank on its 25th anniversary and noted its important place in the country’s economy.
