On March 5, the Minister of Innovation and Growth Milena Stoycheva and the Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency, Mrs. Mila Nenova, awarded two certificates for priority investment projects to Alcomet AD and Glass Contribution EAD. The total amount of investments in the factories in Pleven and Shumen is nearly 250m euros. Lv. More than 300 new jobs will be created.
“Alcomet” AD
The certificate of Alcomet AD, a company for aluminum rolling and press products, is issued under the Investment Promotion Act for the project “Expansion of the product mix by installing a continuous casting line, profile production lines, universal foil loom” in Shumen.
The amount of the company’s investment is BGN 136 285 000. It is expected to create 160 new jobs. The investment project is related to the expansion of the existing production in the plant and the product range of new products to meet the current market demand.
“Glass Contribution”
The amount of the investment of the company “Glass Contribution” is BGN 110 000 000. 150 new jobs will be created. The company plans to build a new 300-ton furnace, implementing the latest generation of SORG equipment to minimize harmful CO2 emissions. The investment includes the acquisition of innovative, energy-efficient, and high production equipment and the construction of indoor and outdoor warehouse areas.
The certificate of “Glass Contribution” is issued under the Investment Promotion Act (IPA) for the project “Modernization of the production process of Rubin Glass Plant” in Pleven.
