During the presentation of the project, Mrs. Mila Nenova, Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA), greeted the attendees and emphasized the importance of such projects for the economic development of the capital and the attraction of foreign investors. She noted that the TSUM project is very ambitious and when talking about the cultural heritage of two ancient nations, this is a new aspect of the project. This ambitious project of Egyptian investors can create new opportunities for cooperation between countries and businesses and lead to new investments and initiatives.
We should not miss the importance of economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Egypt and stressed that the role of IBA is to promote Bulgaria as an investment destination and to support investments in production. Ms. Nenova added that at the moment the investments from Egypt amount to 1 million euros. dollars, and this allows for significant growth.
At the event related to the presentation of the plans for the reconstruction of the Central Department Store, emphasis was placed on the significant investments and modernizations that are to be made in the interior of the building, while the external façade will remain unchanged.
The presentation of the project for transformation of the building of the Central Department Store was attended by H.E. Nader SAAD, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Bulgaria, Dr. Khaled Hanafi, Secretary General, Union of Arab Chambers, H.E. Khalid Emara, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador of Egypt, Dr. Vasil Todorov, Deputy Chairman, Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Prof. Sergey Ignatov, Scientific Director, Antika World, former Minister of Education, Youth and Science of Bulgaria and Mr. Ahmed Nasser, Founder and Director of Antika World, managing the project.
