Julian Balchev, Chief Secretary of the InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA), participated in the “Socially Responsible Partner” awards ceremony organised by the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (KRIB) – Kardzhali, in partnership with the municipalities of the Kardzhali Region.

The event brought together representatives of the business community, local and central government institutions to discuss the challenges and opportunities for the region’s economic development, the role of investment in creating sustainable employment, and the importance of strong cooperation between public institutions and the private sector.

During the forum, Mr Balchev presented the activities of the InvestBulgaria Agency and the instruments through which the Agency supports investors and facilitates the implementation of investment projects in Bulgaria. He emphasised that sustainable regional development is a key factor in strengthening the country’s competitiveness and attracting new investment.

A highlight of the programme was the “Socially Responsible Partner” awards ceremony, which recognises companies for their outstanding contribution to the development of local communities. Representing the InvestBulgaria Agency, Mr Balchev presented one of the awards and congratulated the distinguished companies for their commitment to the region, their investment in people and their efforts to successfully combine business growth with corporate social responsibility.

The awards have become a well-established initiative promoting cooperation between businesses and local authorities while recognising companies that contribute to the economic and social development of the Kardzhali Region.
