Yesterday, the leadership of InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA), represented by Executive Director Mr Asen Nenchev, Deputy Executive Director Mr Angel Ivanov and Secretary General Mr Yulian Balchev, held a working meeting with the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, Mr Tomi Ver Elst, and the Chamber’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ivan Mihaylov. This was Mr Nenchev’s first official meeting with representatives of a chamber of commerce since taking office last Thursday.
The discussion focused on the long-standing and productive cooperation between IBA and AmCham Bulgaria in attracting new investment and supporting companies operating in Bulgaria.
The participants discussed opportunities to develop high-value-added manufacturing, innovation and new technologies. They highlighted the importance of a predictable business environment and efficient administrative services for both new investors and companies planning to expand their operations in Bulgaria.
Opportunities to strengthen the partnership included joint investment presentations, business forums and targeted meetings with potential investors in Bulgaria and the United States, including through AmCham Bulgaria’s Washington office and the Chamber’s international network.
The discussion also addressed a more active exchange of information on business needs and proposals to improve the investment environment. The long-standing dialogue between the two organisations provides a solid foundation for future joint initiatives to promote Bulgaria as an attractive investment destination.
