On September 25, 2023 in Sofia a Bulgarian-Vietnamese Business Forum was held. Among the dignitaries who attended the opening of the forum were Ms. Rositsa Kirova, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Nikolay Pavlov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr. Huang Minh Chen, Deputy Director of the Trade Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and over 20 representatives of the Government, companies from different sectors of the Vietnamese economy, local business organizations, etc..

The forum was organized by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), in partnership with the Vietnam Agency for Foreign Trade (VIETRADE) and the Embassy of the Republic of Vietnam in Bulgaria.

The Acting Executive Director of Invest Bulgaria Agency (IBA), Hristo Etropolski took part in the forum by participating in a panel to discuss the potential and opportunities that our country can provide to Vietnamese investors.

During his visit to Sofia the Speaker of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue and the President of the National Assembly, Mr. Rosen Zhelyazkov signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria and the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The document states that the legislative institutions of Bulgaria and Vietnam are committed to facilitate cooperation between them in order to contribute to the improvement of the traditional friendship and multilateral cooperation both bilaterally and in the framework of international forums, visits of high-level delegations, scientific research exchanges, etc.
