BULGARIAN-UKRAINIAN BUSINESS FORUM WITH BILATERAL MEETINGS

Mila Nenova participated in the “Bulgarian-Ukrainian Business Forum with Bilateral Meetings”, organized by the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (BSMEPA), together with the Bulgarian-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and the support of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Ms. Nenova was part of the second panel of the forum on “Business and Investment Opportunities in Bulgaria and Ukraine.” What we realize in the past years is that most of the foreign investors in Bulgaria keep their activity in our country, but also develop it, because if these are investors from countries outside the European Union (EU), everything produced in our country bears the brand “made in the EU” and so they have access to larger markets. If the investor comes from an EU member state, the attraction is the good economic conditions,” she said. The incentive measures that investors can take advantage of were also presented, emphasizing that the exchange of bilateral trade between Bulgaria and Ukraine for 2023 is about EUR 1,887.4 million.

The participants in the forum were welcomed on behalf of the caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, and the greeting was read by Dr. Boyko Takov, who was also a moderator of the forum. Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko made a video address. The opening of the forum was also attended by the caretaker Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. Petko Nikolov, the Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria Yordanka Chobanova, Taras Kachka – Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Viktor Kantsurak – State Secretary of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, Gennady Chyzhykov – President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Olesya Ilashchuk – Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria.
