HIGH VALUE-ADDED INVESTMENT LAUNCHES IN THE TRAKIA ECONOMIC ZONE

On 28 January 2026, construction began on a new high-tech manufacturing plant of Tri-Wall Bulgaria in the Trakia Economic Zone near Plovdiv -an investment project with a total value exceeding EUR 30 million, expected to create around 150 new jobs.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev emphasized that industry is the backbone of the Bulgarian economy and highlighted the Plovdiv region as one of the country’s key industrial centers.

Among the guests at the official ceremony were Mr. Angel Ivanov, Acting Executive Director of Invest Bulgaria Agency (IBA), along with the Agency’s expert team that worked on the certification of the investment project; Kostadin Dimitrov, Mayor of Plovdiv; Nikolay Stamatov, Deputy Mayor of Maritsa Municipality; Plamen Panchev, Founder and Executive Director of the Trakia Economic Zone; Eiji Miyazaki, Global Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Board Member of Tri-Wall Group and President and CEO of Tri-Wall Japan; Hirofumi Hori, Board Member and General Manager “International Business” at Rengo Co., Ltd.; as well as representatives of the company, local authorities, and the business community.

The Tri-Wall Bulgaria project is yet another example of successful cooperation between public institutions and the private sector, contributing to sustainable industrial development and economic growth in the region.
