The Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (BSMEPA) organized the III Bulgarian-Turkish Forum with bilateral meetings, which was also attended by Ms. Mila Nenova, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency. The event took place today on March 8, 2024. at the International Congress Center in Sofia. Burgas.
Mrs. Nenova shared about the advantages that our country has over other Balkan countries in the direction of investments. She pointed out that the bilateral chamber is a good way for cooperation on which Bulgarian and Turkish companies could connect.
The forum paid great importance to women in business with a focus on women’s entrepreneurship in Bulgaria and Turkey.
“In Turkey and Bulgaria, women should be actively involved in business. We are grateful for the added value they create in all areas with their hard work. Bulgaria is a very important country for us, because more than 150 Turkish companies operate here. The investments made by Turkey in Bulgaria are over 2.5 billion euros. leva. We intend to increase these values,” said Tolga Orkun, Consul General of Turkey in Burgas.
The Ministry of Innovation and Growth sets extremely ambitious goals for the coming years. All of them go through active cooperation between all countries in our region. This was announced by Radoslav Rizov, Acting Director General and Head of the Managing Authority of the Directorate General “European Funds for Competitiveness” at the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, during a Bulgarian-Turkish business forum with bilateral meetings.
This year’s forum also focused on the presentation of the high-tech sectors and innovative ecosystems of the two countries in the areas of: digital agriculture, biotechnology, digital healthcare, fintech, nanotechnology, energy technology, educational technology, green economy, logistics and the process of shortening supply chains.
