The InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA) took part in the annual General Assembly of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), held on October 21, 2025, in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, right before the World Investment Conference 2025.
The event brought together representatives of over 130 national and regional investment promotion agencies from more than 110 countries to discuss trends and priorities in the global investment landscape.
The Executive Director of IBA, Mrs. Mila Nenova, participated in the voting for the election of a new President and members of the WAIPA Steering Committee for the 2025–2027 term.
With a majority vote, the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), represented by Mr. Mohamed Mulla Yaqoub, was elected to lead the organization for the next mandate.
As part of the international WAIPA community, the InvestBulgaria Agency strengthens its position within the global network for knowledge sharing and innovation in the field of investment promotion.
Mrs. Nenova also took part in the previous WAIPA General Assembly in 2024.
The consistent commitment to building effective international partnerships and promoting Bulgaria as a stable and competitive investment destination remains a top priority for IBA this year as well.
