The largest existing collection of authentic manuscripts and drawings by Leonardo da Vinci was presented at the conference “The Atlantic Codex, a testimony to the life of Leonardo – a multifaceted and complex mind and genius” at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS).
The organizers of the event are the Embassy of Italy in Sofia, the Italian Cultural Institute, the InvestBulgarian Agency and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
At the event, Monsignor Francesco Braschi, PhD of the Ambrosiana Library in Milan, researcher and priest, presented the concept of innovation and modern research as an innate characteristic of human nature.
The event was dedicated to the genius Leonardo da Vinci and the lesser-known aspects of his life.
To the question asked by Ms. Nenova: “How would you define the current situation and what should we expect from researchers and scientists today?” Monsignor Braschi replied: “Today, our work requires us to be brave and face difficulties, realizing the importance of our actions. Questions about the meaning of life and our role in the world are essential. To cope, we need to let go of inaction and concentrate on how to be more authentic versions of ourselves without giving up on the search for the truth about ourselves.”
